MEET ROBERT MITCHUM

TEAM CAPTAIN

*Fact Or Fiction:  "Captain Big Bob" is exactly that. Just one look at him and you'll turn the other way.  He's known for his famous "upper-cut" slapshots which he picked up from his boxing skills.

Robert Mitchum (August 6, 1917 - July 1, 1997) was an American film actor who is largely remembered for his starring roles in several major works of the film noir genre. His other notable films were generally thrillers and westerns. With his imposing physical presence and rumbling voice, he was particularly well-suited to play menacing figures, but he was quite successful in tempering this with an underlying aspect of raw intelligence. He also had several noteworthy television appearances. Mitchum was a workman and professional boxer before going to Hollywood in 1943.
